The store’s grand opening will be celebrated at the end of October. The store offers a wide range of products for cats, dogs, birds, small animals, and aquarium enthusiasts. Additionally, there will be grooming and nail clipping services for pets, as well as a free activity area.

The fourth store in Finland will be opened in Seinäjoki

– Dogman came to Finland in 2011. Operations began with wholesale and a network of resellers. The first brick-and-mortar store, Dogman and friends, was opened in 2022 in the Kaari shopping centre in Helsinki. Due to its great popularity, stores have also been opened in Raisio and Lahti this year. The Seinäjoki store is now opening in October, and in April of next year, we will open a store in Oulu,” says the new country manager Anna Wulff about Dogman’s expansion plans.

In addition to Dogman and friends brick-and-mortar stores, Dogman also has an online store, and its products are sold in well-known Finnish retail chains and department stores, as well as smaller pet stores.

– The well-being of pets is very important to us, and we want to provide not only high-quality products but also experiences for pets in our stores. Pets are very welcome in our stores. The Seinäjoki store, opening in October, will feature a free activity area for dogs, where they can try activities such as agility. Treats will be available as well. Additionally, customers can book paid services such as grooming and nail trimming. The store will also have a self-service pet washing station, which is especially convenient for customers with limited space for pet bathing at home, says Wulff.

Sustainability is emphasized in Dogman’s operations

– We want to contribute to happier and healthier lives for pets through our product and service offerings.

– In our products, we use environmentally friendly materials whenever possible and aim to reduce packaging materials and ensure their recyclability. In terms of logistics, we work closely with transportation companies to minimize our carbon footprint. We also collaborate with local animal welfare organizations, which has been very rewarding, Wulff expresses.

The new retail spaces in Seinäjoki have been implemented using the Wasa360 service model

The premises were realized using the Wasa360 service model, in which WasaGroup takes care of all aspects of property development, from land acquisition and financing to property planning, construction, and ongoing property maintenance.

The commercial property was designed by WasaPlan Oy, a subsidiary of WasaGroup, with Peab as the main contractor. Tuohex Capital Oy is the investor in the project.

– We have been extremely pleased with the cooperation with WasaGroup in this project. We have encountered no issues to complain about,” Wulff praises, while also welcoming pets and their owners to the store’s opening on Friday, October 27th.
